Father’s Day in Denver: Free Jazz Concert

On Father’s Day, think about taking your dad to City Jazz at Denver’s City Park to hear the sounds of Salsa Con Jazz.  Often featured on KUVO 89.3, Salsa Con Jazz is a premiere 11-piece ensemble based in Denver, Colorado. This diverse group of unique, highly accomplished players are FREE denver city jazz concertsdedicated to exploring and composing salsa and Latin jazz.   All of the City Park Jazz concerts will take place at the bandstand by the Pavilion on Ferril Lake in Denver’s City Park. City Park is also home to Denver’s Zoo, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  The Park is located just East of Downtown, at Colorado Boulevard and 17th Avenue.  Free parking is available throughout the park—please be a good neighbor and avoid parking on side-streets around the park.  Or better yet, ride your bike and enjoy free bike parking monitored by City Park Jazz volunteers at the Bike Corral in the  Pavilion from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Pack a blanket or bring lawn chairs along for seating, as chairs are not provided. Many concertgoers also pack picnics to enjoy while listening to the performance. Parking is free, but arrive early to find a space.

All concerts are from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Bandstand/Pavilion in Denver’s City Park, rain or shine.
